Building Maintenance Worker

Job Details: Job Location: ALM-Birmingham AL Area Command - Birmingham, AL, Salary Range: $14.90, Job Category: Property, This position is responsible for : 

Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities: 

performs routine groundskeeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape; performs minor plumbing and carpentry repair work; regularly cleans building and sanitizes as necessary.
Sweeps, vacuums, strips, mops and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks.
Assembles and moves office furniture including chairs, desks, tables, bulletin boards, etc. Monitors activities and visitors of building and grounds to ensure security.

What We Are Looking For In You: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or G.E.D.

and

Two years of experience in handling minor building and maintenance repairs and good skill in the use of hand and power tools,

or

any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid State Driver’s License is required
