BioNMR Intern

Job Details: Job Location: Headquarters- New Jersey - PRINCETON, NJ, Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00Hourly, This is a 6-month internship opportunity.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-driven professional for a 6-month internship position to support to the Platform Innovation team in day-to-day activities as needed. The incumbent supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.

Job Responsibilties:

· Assisting in collecting and analyzing BioNMR data.

· Expressing and purifying isotopically-labelled proteins for BioNMR studies.

· Documenting all research activities and maintaining a detailed laboratory notebook.

· Reading and interpreting papers to improve understanding and skills.

· Applying critical thinking towards the relevance of results.

· Assisting in document writing to effectively summarize and communicate the progress of the work.

· Perform other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management.
Qualifications: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to learn fast, absorb knowledge, and apply newly learned information daily.

· Possess an upbeat attitude with the desire to learn new skills

· Self-motivated with the ability to engage in independent work to increase job related knowledge and skills

· Ability to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential material.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a team environment consisting of internal and external team members.

· Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

· Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.

Education and Experience Requirement:

· College degree (B.A. or B.S) with knowledge of biochemistry, molecular biology. Biomolecular NMR data collection

· Previous experience in expressing and purifying recombinant proteins from bacterial expression systems

· Previous experience independently collecting NMR data

· Basic understanding of computer skills including MSOffice (Excel, Powerpoint & Word) and TopSpin.

Physical Demands:

Standing/ sitting for long periods of time

Office/ laboratory environment

Compensation:

$25- $30 Per Hour
