Beverage Cart Attendant

Orchard Valley Golf Course, located in Aurora, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Beverage Cart Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
 
Compensation:
$11.00 - $12.00 per hour plus tips
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
• Drives the beverage cart to different areas on the golf course to service guests.
• Maintains a supply of all bar products and supplies, including glassware, expendable paper, and other supplies.
• Stocks beverage carts to par levels each day of use.
• Ensures that all laws applicable to beverage operations are consistently followed.
• Operates Micros; handles cash, room charges, guest and member charges, and credit card charges according to procedure.
• Learns the names of regulars and personally recognizes them.
• Monitors guest experience and takes appropriate action to ensure the best customer service.
• Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies and inventory are available.
• Prepares garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks.
• Performs cleanup and closing duties as assigned.
• Communicates effectively with peers, management, line, and front-of-house employees.
• Ensures that all guests are greeted in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
• Assists in upkeep of the golf course as needed.
• Assists in food preparation and tends bar as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law.
• Must have a friendly personality and enjoy working with the public.
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Must be dependable.

Knowledge/Skill:

• Working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor and common drink recipes preferred.
• Ability to operate a computerized or electronic cash register system.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Knowledge of and ability to safely operate a motorized beverage cart using proper golf etiquette.

Education and Experience:

• One to two years of bartending experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Valid driver's license required.
