Schedule/Hours:
Seasonal position. Hours vary based on assigned kettle location and operational needs during the Christmas season.

This position is responsible for:
The Bell Ringer serves as a representative of The Salvation Army Christmas Program by ringing bells at assigned kettle locations, greeting the public in a courteous and friendly manner, and ensuring that kettles and donation equipment remain secure and attended at all times. This position also assists donors with credit card donations and protects donor information in accordance with Salvation Army policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Ring bells for The Salvation Army Christmas Program at assigned locations.
Assist donors in processing donations using the credit card machine.
Ensure kettles, donation equipment, and machines are kept secure and never left unattended.
Greet and interact with the public in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
Conduct all duties in accordance with The Salvation Army's mission, ministry, and Christian principles.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to perform duties while standing, with occasional sitting or walking.
Ability to lift and carry light objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work is performed outdoors and may involve exposure to weather conditions, noise, dust, and dirt. Appropriate seasonal attire is required for comfort and safety.

No prior experience required OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 

Licenses and Certifications:
None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of The Salvation Army Christmas Bell Program.
Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision.
Ability to greet and respond to the general public courteously.
Ability to comply with required dress code standards.
Ability to responsibly handle assigned bell and apron.
