If you're a preschool teacher, Montessori guide, early childhood educator, teaching assistant, or someone with hands-on experience helping young children grow, you already bring skills that matter at FirstSteps.

As a Behavior Technician, you'll use those skills in a one-on-one, play-based environment, helping children with autism build communication, social, independence, and everyday life skills.

No ABA experience? That's okay. Your experience working with children is the foundation. We'll teach you the rest.

Through paid training, hands-on mentorship, and ongoing support from experienced clinicians, you'll learn the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and build new clinical skills while continuing to do what you already love: helping children learn and grow.

And this isn't just a job you can grow into. Many of our leaders started in hands-on roles working directly with children. For those who want to build a long-term career in ABA, Behavior Technician can be the first step toward greater clinical responsibility, leadership, and professional growth.

Starting pay: $23 - $25/hour DOE
Opportunity for $1/hour increases multiple times throughout the year

Health & Safety Requirements: 

• Childhood vaccinations (MMR & Varicella) and non-reactive TB test 
• Access to reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, sit on floors and/or child-sized furniture, and quickly move from a seated position to running stance
