Job Description
Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village,19800 SW Touchmark Way, an award-winning senior living resort community spanning 25 acres along the Deschutes River on Bend's westside, is looking for a professional, high-energy Part-time Weekend Bartender and Pub Server with excellent communication skills to serve cocktails and food to residents.
- Starting wage $19.79 per hour or more, depending on experience (no gratuities as this is a position in a private senior resort)
- Must be available Saturday and Sunday and available for other various shifts
The Bartender/Pub Server will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food.
To succeed as a Bartender and Pub Server at Touchmark, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable and have a desire to serve and assist others with genuine hospitality.
Bartender Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
- Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Acting as the community barista
- Serving tables in the pub through lunch and dinner service
- Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
- Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
Bartender Requirements:
- OLCC and Food Handler Permit
- Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required.
- Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
- Must be 21+
