Bartender

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to create guests for life. Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interaction while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, legal, and efficient manner.  At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to our guests’ needs, including their safety, and make them feel welcome, comfortable, and important.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum 2 years of experience of restaurant and bar operations
• Familiarity with standard bar equipment (e.g., dishwasher, slicers, coolers, ice machine)
• Flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays; timely and reliable attendance is essential even in inclement weather
• Strong listening, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25–30 lbs
• Ability to tolerate busy or noisy work environments
• Ability to work in a fun, fast-paced environment
• Ensure the safety and well-being of our guests

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Smile and provide friendly, engaging guest service to create guests for life!
• Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
• Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
• Serve drinks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions
• Provide guidance to guests on resort activities, dining options and general resort and regional information
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager
• Handle an assigned house bank, follow all cash handling procedures, collect payment for drinks served, and balance all receipts
• Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning glass doors and windows, etc. as needed
