About the Role:

The On-Call Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional beverage service during peak times, special events, or when additional staff support is needed. This position requires flexibility and readiness to respond promptly to staffing needs, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction. The bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. They will engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and ensuring compliance with all safety and legal regulations. Ultimately, the role supports the establishment’s reputation by contributing to a welcoming atmosphere and efficient service during high-demand periods.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Legal age to serve alcohol in the United States.
• Previous bartending experience or formal training in beverage preparation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol).
• Experience working in fast-paced bar or restaurant environments.
• Knowledge of a wide variety of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to on-call requests to provide bartending services as needed.
• Prepare and serve beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glassware.
• Engage with customers to take orders, offer recommendations, and ensure a positive experience.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and legal regulations related to alcohol service.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
• Handle cash and process payments accurately when required.
