Barista - Riley - Days

This position is 20 hrs/wk 6am-3pm with a rotating Saturdays

Job Summary

Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations to enhance their experience. Build rapport to encourage repeat visits and maintain a welcoming café atmosphere 
Beverage Preparation: Skillfully prepare coffee, espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, teas, and specialty drinks following standardized recipes. Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality 
Cash Handling and POS Operation: Accurately process transactions using point-of-sale systems, handle cash, credit, and debit payments securely, and maintain financial accuracy

Key responsibilities

• Preparing handcrafted coffee, espresso drinks, and other menu items. 

• Operating coffee equipment, including espresso machines and cash registers. 

• Preparing and serving sandwiches, pastries, snacks, and other food items. 

• Providing quick, accurate, and courteous customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff 

• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, and equipment to meet food safety and infection control standards. 

• Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and maintaining quality service.

**Must be 18 with Food Service experience **

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred. 
• No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred.
• Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
• Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders.
• Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
