Barback

Located in the North Hills District of Raleigh, NC.

We’re looking for Barbacks in Raleigh to join our team at Village Tavern!

This is a tipped position with an average income of $18-$20/hour.

What You’ll Do:

As a Barback, your role is to support the Bartenders so they can focus on making drinks and connecting with guests. Your primary responsibility is anticipating what the Bartenders need before they ask. This includes keeping the bar clean, stocked, and running smoothly. You'll also help greet guests and contribute to making the bar experience the best it can be.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Keep bar stocked with all necessary items before and during service

·       Keep bar neat and clean, including wiping up spills and clearing and cleaning glassware and plateware

·       Help the bar team create a memorable experience for every guest

·       Assist with greeting guests

·       Assist with bar prep

·       Refill ice wells

·       Change kegs

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

·       Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

·       US work authorization (Required)

·       High energy and enthusiasm

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·       Team-first, can-do attitude

·       Attention to detail

·       Basic Math Skills

·       Good Communication Skills

·       Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods

·       Ability to lift 30+ pounds

Restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train someone with a great attitude and willingness to work hard.
