Job Overview: As a Bar Back, you play a critical role in supporting the bartending team and maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar. Your responsibilities include assisting bartenders with service, restocking bar supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the bar is prepared to provide an exceptional experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bar Maintenance:

• Keep the bar, service areas, and surrounding spaces clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Clear and clean used glassware, dishes, and bar tools throughout the shift.
• Wipe down and sanitize bar surfaces, equipment, and work areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and sanitation standards.

1. Bartender Support:

• Assist bartenders with maintaining a smooth and efficient service.
• Refill ice, glassware, garnishes, mixers, napkins, and other necessary supplies.
• Assist with running drinks and other items to guests when needed.
• Communicate with bartenders regarding inventory levels and any additional needs.

1. Organization and Restocking:

• Keep bar storage areas and service stations clean and organized.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, juices, garnishes, and other bar supplies as needed.
• Properly rotate and organize products according to established procedures.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries.

1. Glassware and Dish Management:

• Collect used glassware and dishes from the bar and dining areas.
• Transport dirty dishes and glassware to the appropriate dishwashing area.
• Return clean glassware and barware to designated locations.
• Monitor glassware levels throughout the shift and communicate when additional supplies are needed.

1. Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Sweep and mop floors and maintain a clean bar and service area.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles as needed.
• Clean and organize refrigerators, coolers, and other designated bar equipment.
• Report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns to management promptly.

1. Guest and Team Support:

• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner when assisting with their needs.
• Respond to guest requests appropriately and direct questions to the bartender or manager when necessary.
• Work closely with bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude throughout each shift.

Qualifications:

• No prior experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Previous restaurant, bar, or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to take direction and work collaboratively with the bar and restaurant team.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive attitude during busy shifts.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and remain organized throughout the shift.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry cases of product, bus tubs, bags of ice, and other supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and carry out physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This position is classified as non-exempt under applicable wage and hour laws and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable regulations.
