About the role: 

The Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service during banquet events while supporting the setup, execution, and breakdown of functions. This role anticipates guest needs, maintains strong knowledge of menu and beverage offerings, and ensures service is delivered according to Four Seasons standards. This position is part of the Food & Beverage team, reporting to Banquet Management. 

What you will do: 

• Provide attentive and professional food and beverage service during banquet events 

• Greet guests, explain menu selections, and provide knowledgeable information about ingredients and preparation methods 

• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, concerns, and special accommodations 

• Serve food, wine, and other beverages according to established service standards 

• Maintain strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage offerings available for each event 

• Coordinate closely with the Culinary and Banquet teams to ensure accurate and timely service 

• Prepare and maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked service stations 

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of tables, buffets, food stations, and other event spaces 

• Set up linen, china, glassware, silverware, and accent pieces according to Banquet Event Orders 

• Maintain table presentation and service standards throughout each event 

• Build positive relationships with guests while providing personalized and intuitive service 

• Support other Food & Beverage areas as business needs require 

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety standards 

What you bring: 

• High school diploma or equivalent experience 

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar position preferred 

• Previous hotel, banquet, restaurant, or Food & Beverage experience preferred 

• Strong food and beverage knowledge with an interest in wine and beverage service 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to provide polished and professional service in a fast-paced event environment 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities 

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team 

• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift and perform the physical responsibilities associated with banquet service

Schedule & Hours: 

• Flexible schedule required, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays 

• Schedule may vary based on banquet and event business needs
