Job Summary

The Banquet Server is responsible for providing professional, friendly, and attentive food and beverage service during banquets, conferences, weddings, corporate events, meetings, receptions, and other special events.

The ideal candidate is dependable, guest-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide attentive food and beverage service during banquet and special events
• Set up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, place settings, linens, and service stations
• Serve food and beverages according to established banquet service standards
• Assist with plated meals, buffet service, passed hors d'oeuvres, and beverage service
• Clear plates, glasses, and other items from tables promptly and efficiently
• Reset and maintain tables and event spaces throughout the event
• Keep service areas clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and questions
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and cleanup as needed
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Work closely with banquet captains, supervisors, kitchen staff, bartenders, and other event personnel
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout each assignment
• Perform other banquet and hospitality-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, serving, catering, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced event environment
• Professional and courteous demeanor
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies or equipment as needed
• Professional appearance and appropriate attire for banquet events
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Must be dependable and committed to completing scheduled assignments
• Local candidates preferred for local assignments
