About the Role:
First and foremost this is Mainly a part-time Weekend position as needed. Although we do have needs during weekdays and nights at times as well.
The Banquet Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional beverage service during events and functions within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a memorable experience. The Banquet Bartender collaborates closely with event coordinators and service staff to meet the specific needs of each banquet or event, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization at the bar area. This role requires attentiveness to guest preferences and compliance with all safety and legal regulations related to alcohol service. Ultimately, the Banquet Bartender contributes significantly to the overall success and reputation of the venue by providing friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a bartender, preferably in a banquet or event setting.
- Valid alcohol service certification or license as required by local regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a high-volume banquet or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of a wide range of cocktail recipes and beverage trends.
- Certification in responsible beverage service training programs.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.
- Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, according to standardized recipes and guest preferences.
- Set up and break down the bar area before and after events, ensuring all supplies and equipment are clean, stocked, and organized.
- Engage with guests in a courteous and professional manner, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations when appropriate.
- Monitor guest consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all relevant laws and venue policies.
- Collaborate with banquet and service staff to coordinate timing and delivery of beverage service during events.
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, maintaining accountability for all transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bar area throughout the event.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management promptly.
