BANNER GATEWAY MEDICAL CENTER OUTPATIENT OBSERVATION UNIT - STAFF PA

Description

TeamHealth has an excellent PRN opportunity for a physician assistant to join our emergency department team in the observation unit at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona. This 45-bed ED sees an annual patient volume of 55,000 and has an admission rate of 18%. This is a fast-paced unit that works in close collaboration with the ED, consultants, support staff of the unit, and Banner administrative physicians. Types of cases include, cardiac, neurological, surgical, medical, and include trauma, overdoses, and even some psychiatric disorders. There is 24/7 supervising physician oversight and on-site EM physician and hospitalist in-house coverage. Significant clinical experience in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, cardiology, or critical care as a PA as well as ACLS certification is required. We are not considering new graduates at this time.

Shift Times

• 7am to 4pm and 4pm to 12am at Gateway
• 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am at Baywood
