Co-Counsel – Immigration Attorney, Extraordinary Ability Case Production (EB-1A, O-1, EB-2 NIW) (1099 Contract)

What You'll Do

• Build and carry individual immigration cases — EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1A — through every milestone from a clean handoff to a strong, filing-ready submission, with a Managing Attorney's second-chair review before filing.

• Carry a full production caseload — roughly 35-40 active matters at a time — with complete control over how you structure your own days and week.

• Own the client relationship through the life of each case, not just the file: clients should always feel informed and never have to chase you for updates.

• Use Manifest's AI tools and technology — automated handoffs, smart draft tracking, and a unified case-context hub — so every hour you put in goes toward case-advancing work, not coordination.

• Work with Manifest for the duration of your engagement, focused on case production — intake consultations are handled by Manifest's consulting associates on your team.

What We're Looking For

• J.D. or LLM and active U.S. bar admission

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a practicing attorney, with high volume hands-on work in EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1A extraordinary ability cases, H-1B, or family- and marriage-based matters — solo practitioners welcome

• Rigor, ownership, and strong writing across extraordinary-ability and high-skilled petition work

• Client-management polish: you own the relationship, not just the file

• The ability to take a matter from a clean handoff to completion without being managed

• Comfort with a 1099 independent-contractor engagement and a full time case production caseload

• Bonus: experience with other casetypes a plus, family- and marriage-based matters, corporate cases (H-1B, L-1, TN, E's etc)

How the Engagement Works

This is long term contract paid per case rather than by hour or salary. You are engaged as an independent contractor (1099) Co-Counsel to Manifest for the duration of the engagement (No benefits or paid time off).

• Each case carries its own agreed fee, paid out on a predictable monthly cycle as cases are signed and filed.

• Manifest sources and assigns a caseload; you're also free to bring in cases on your own.

• Self-originated cases — matters you bring in through your own network — are paid at a higher rate than Manifest-sourced cases.

• Every case, regardless of source, is worked to Manifest's standard: SLAs, rigorous legal quality, and client communication that earns loyalty.

For solo practitioners: you keep your own book of business, run through Manifest's platform instead of on your own if you choose. We handle admin, billing, and marketing — you focus on the cases. It's a co-counsel model: full practice-team support and infrastructure, without the overhead of running a practice alone.

Compensation & Pay Transparency

This is contract case production, paid per case rather than by hour or salary. You are engaged as an independent contractor (1099) Co-Counsel to Manifest for the duration of the engagement, with no benefits or paid time off.

Carrying a full time caseload of 35-40 cases would result in the equivalent salary of approximately $140-190K+ depending upon volume of cases you take and complexity of cases, along with other factors.

Our Use of AI in Recruiting

Manifest uses AI-powered tools to support administrative aspects of our recruitment process, such as organizing applications and surfacing candidate information for review. Some interviews may also be recorded and transcribed using an AI note-taking tool, used solely to support accurate note-taking — it does not score, analyze, or evaluate candidates in any way.
