Hours/Week: Average of 15 hours per week, alternating
weekend hours

Position Overview:

Night Aides with
the Office of Student Housing and Residence Life (SHRL) support overnight
safety and community standards in the Residence Halls. These student staff
members provide a visible presence at night, assist in monitoring access to the
buildings, and respond to situations in collaboration with professional staff.

Responsibilities:

• Individuals in
  this position may be expected to complete the following responsibilities, as
  assigned. Task assignments may vary on a daily basis based on department
  priorities and operational needs:
• Monitor the entrance and exit of buildings and validate individuals entering and leaving
• Support the safety and security of the Residence Halls in accordance with SHRL guidelines for operating a Front Desk
• Answer desk phone and assist with student and visitor questions
• Complete administrative tasks including documentation, filing, and organization
• Support professional and student staff in daily operations
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals and daily operations of the department
