About the Role

We are growing our Apparel team and are seeking an experienced Apparel Authentication Expert to help authenticate apparel items and expand our expertise across the category. If you are passionate about fashion, committed to sustainability, and a champion for authenticity, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We’re looking for someone with deep expertise in apparel brands such as Supreme and Denim Tears, along with strong knowledge of luxury brands and the broader resale market. In this role, you’ll authenticate apparel items, apply your knowledge of materials, construction, and brand-specific details, and collaborate with the team to develop and train on new materials and authentication methodologies.

This is a unique hybrid role that blends deep subject-matter expertise with systems thinking, problem-solving, and ownership. You’ll play a critical role in helping us scale apparel authentication by translating your expertise into repeatable processes, training, and systems that can support authentication at scale.

Your knowledge of both physical and digital authentication will be essential to your success. You’ll help us stay ahead of evolving counterfeit techniques while continuously expanding our ability to authenticate new brands, materials, and product variations with confidence.

Reports to Lead, Apparel Operations

What you’ll do:

• Monitor real-time customer authentications of Luxury and Streetwear apparel
• Ensure the accuracy of internal tests about newly released brands and materials
• Contribute to structured knowledge systems, templates, and processes to support authentication and training
• Research apparel trends, new releases, and product details to enhance brand-specific knowledge

What you bring:

• Expertise in authenticating apparel. Experience in building training materials for a fashion for resale context is a plus.
• Deep expertise in streetwear brands and an eye for detail in product identification
• Familiarity with structuring and organizing content or data (experience with taxonomies or classification systems is a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to simplify complex information across functions
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing deadlines and global team collaboration
• Confident and thoughtful communicator, with a passion for growing a strong knowledge-first culture
• Flexible: you may be required to work weekends, holidays, and hours outside of normal working hours.

$55,000–$60,000 per year

This is a non-exempt, salaried position. The starting salary range for this role is $55,000–$60,000, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications. Individual compensation decisions are based on several factors, including experience level, skill set, role scope, and internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect most candidates offered this role to fall within the posted salary range. We recognize that the person ultimately hired may have more or less experience than outlined in the job description. If the role or level is adjusted based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, the applicable salary range will be communicated during the hiring process.
