Position Summary

Integrated ENT Allergy & Immunology is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused, and highly skilled Audiologist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The Audiologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage hearing and related auditory disorders while collaborating closely with ENT physicians and other clinical professionals to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent patient communication skills, and proficiency in diagnostic audiology. This position requires a commitment to accurate testing, thorough clinical documentation, patient education, and effective interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for patients with suspected hearing loss, tinnitus, balance-related concerns, and other auditory conditions.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic audiological assessments, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, and other clinically appropriate diagnostic procedures.
• Evaluate auditory function and determine the type, degree, and configuration of hearing loss.
• Obtain and review relevant patient histories, symptoms, physician referrals, previous test results, and medical information to support accurate audiological assessment.
• Analyze and interpret audiological findings and clearly communicate diagnostic results and recommendations to patients, families, caregivers, and referring providers.
• Identify audiological findings that may require further medical evaluation and coordinate appropriate follow-up with ENT physicians or other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate closely with ENT physicians to support the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with hearing and related auditory disorders.
• Provide physicians with accurate and timely audiological findings to assist with clinical decision-making and continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding hearing loss, auditory conditions, hearing conservation, communication strategies, and recommended next steps in care.
• Perform age-appropriate diagnostic audiological testing for adult and pediatric patients within the Audiologist's training and clinical competency.
• Recognize abnormal or significant audiological findings and ensure appropriate communication and escalation to the treating physician.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation of evaluations, findings, recommendations, and patient communications in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure audiological testing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, cleaned, and prepared for diagnostic use in accordance with applicable standards.
• Follow established infection-control procedures and maintain a safe, clean, and professional testing environment.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, professional standards, organizational policies, and applicable federal and New York State requirements.
• Stay current with developments in diagnostic audiology, hearing science, evidence-based clinical practices, testing methodologies, and professional standards.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development as required to maintain applicable licensure and credentials.
• Perform additional diagnostic audiology responsibilities within the professional scope of practice as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Audiology from an accredited or otherwise qualifying educational program.
• Current and valid New York State license as an Audiologist, or eligibility to obtain the required New York State licensure prior to practicing independently.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic audiology, hearing disorders, auditory anatomy and physiology, and clinical testing procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to administer, analyze, and accurately interpret comprehensive audiological evaluations.
• Experience with pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, and other clinically appropriate diagnostic audiological testing.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize findings requiring physician evaluation or additional diagnostic follow-up.
• Strong clinical documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain audiological findings and recommendations clearly and compassionately to patients and families.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree.
• Previous clinical experience in an ENT, otolaryngology, or physician-practice setting.
• Experience working directly and collaboratively with ENT physicians.
• Experience performing comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations.
• Experience evaluating both adult and pediatric patient populations.
• Experience assessing patients with hearing loss, tinnitus, and other auditory concerns commonly encountered in an ENT practice.
• Experience with additional diagnostic audiological testing relevant to an ENT clinical environment.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), if applicable.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Ability to manage multiple patients and clinical priorities in a fast-paced ENT practice.
• Effective communication and collaboration with physicians, clinical staff, administrative staff, patients, and caregivers.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and evidence-based audiological care.

Licensure & Compliance

The successful candidate must maintain all licenses, registrations, and continuing competency requirements necessary to practice audiology in New York State. Candidates must satisfy all applicable New York State requirements before independently performing audiological services requiring professional licensure.

Work Location
