Athletics Game Operations

East
Stroudsburg University’s Department of Athletics currently seeks a dynamic
individual to serve as Student Worker for athletic game operations.

Successful candidates
will work in collaboration with other student workers and department personnel
as well as under the direction of the ESU Athletics Department.

Job Duties:

The
student worker for athletic game operations helps to provide a safe, organized and professional game experience at all athletic
events for fans, student-athletes, game officials and the ESU community. The
student worker position, if assigned, also helps to maintain a safe and
welcoming environment of Koehler Fieldhouse. The duties for this position
within the ESU Athletic Department include
but are not limited to the following:

• Serve
  as athletic event staff during athletic events in roles that could include
  ball shagger, parking staff, scoreboard operator, videoboard operator,
  music, usher, ticketing, concessions, and security.
• Assist
  in executing various game day responsibilities at the direction of the
  game operations supervisor.
• Assist
  in the setup and break down of athletic events.
• Assist
  in facility management, athletic administration and office
  responsibilities as requested.
• Assist
  with in-game, event promotions and community engagement.
• Provide
  excellent customer service and a positive environment to all fans, teams,
  and officials at athletic events.
• Ensure
  a safe, organized and professional experience at all times.

Qualifications:

• Current ESU student in good academic standing.
• Be registered for the fall/spring semester.
• Ability to work any days and/or shifts needed, including nights and weekends including Homecoming and Family weekend.
• Must be able to work both outside and inside events and tolerate variable weather conditions.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems as necessary and work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
• Must be available to work 10-20 hours per week.
• Applicants must be personable, reliable, have great
  communication skills, and have high levels of integrity and
  professionalism in both behavior and appearance. 

Additional Information: 

• Hourly pay $9.00

Employment Eligibility & University Commitment

Must be at least 18 years old and be able to read and write English. Employment with ESU is contingent on the selected candidate passing a thorough background check that includes: FBI fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse, and employment.
