Associate Sales Engineer, SE Desk - TOLA

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Associate Sales Engineer, SE Desk - TOLA based in the United States.

This role provides technical sales support across a diverse customer base, helping prospects understand how connected technology can address real-world operational challenges.
You will develop expertise across IoT hardware, sensors, cloud software, APIs, integrations, and related technologies.
The position combines customer discovery, technical demonstrations, solution guidance, and hands-on API support.
You will partner closely with Account Executives while acting as a technical resource for prospects and customers throughout the sales process.
You will also help translate customer feedback into actionable insights for product teams and support relevant beta-program opportunities.
Success requires curiosity about how businesses operate, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
This is a remote, full-time position for candidates located within the TOLA region of the United States, with no relocation assistance provided.

Accountabilities:

• Develop deep expertise in the platform's products and technologies, including IoT, AI, computer vision, connected devices, and solutions for physical operations.
• Conduct efficient customer discovery to understand business needs and provide clear answers to technical questions, with an emphasis on resolving inquiries within a single call when possible.
• Provide technical coverage for Account Executives and the broader sales organization, including standard demonstrations and temporary technical support.
• Explain device installation and deployment requirements clearly enough to guide prospects and customers remotely.
• Educate customers and prospects on API capabilities and develop scripts using the platform API for testing environments when required.
• Act as a technical advocate for Account Executives, prospects, and customers during internal technology discussions.
• Serve as a liaison between sales and product teams by communicating customer feedback, technical requirements, and market needs.
• Help identify and engage appropriate customers for beta programs based on product and customer needs.
• Build trusted relationships with customers by understanding their industries, operational processes, and technology challenges.
• Collaborate with teammates and share technical knowledge and best practices to support team success.
• Champion organizational values and operating principles while contributing to a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Preferred 1+ year of experience working directly with customers in a pre-sales, technical support, or similar customer-facing capacity.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of at least one of the following areas: cloud software, networking, automation, or control systems.
• Strong curiosity about how businesses operate and how technology can improve real-world workflows.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine customer relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly understand customer requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Account Executives, product teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience experimenting with or working hands-on with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus.
• Strong willingness to learn new technologies and develop expertise across hardware, software, cloud, and connected systems.
• Must reside within the specified TOLA region of the United States, subject to the geographic restrictions in the original posting.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.

• Annual on-target earnings (OTE) range of $77,350–$104,000 USD for full-time employees.
