What You'll Do
As an Assistant Teacher, you will play an important role in creating a positive classroom experience for children while supporting your Lead Teacher and classroom team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist with implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities
- Help maintain a safe, clean, structured, and engaging learning environment
- Provide nurturing and attentive care that supports children's social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Communicate professionally and positively with children, families, and team members
- Support classroom routines, transitions, meals, nap time, and daily activities
- Observe and document children's development and progress
- Assist with maintaining accurate classroom records and documentation
- Use age-appropriate expectations and positive guidance techniques
- Bring creativity, energy, enthusiasm, and compassion to the classroom every day
- Support and participate in COA programs, events, and activities
- Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers and school leadership
- Continue developing your knowledge and skills in early childhood education

What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting preferred
- Must meet applicable state childcare licensing requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and decision-making skills
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
- A genuine passion for working with children

Compensation
$17.00–$21.00 per hour
Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible for applicable incentives and company benefits.
