Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, Retina Specialist - Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, McGovern Medical School

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified clinician with retina fellowship training to join the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. This is an academic track position, with research and teaching opportunities and expectations. We will entertain all applicants at the Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor level. Those with an established funded research program may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

Position Key Accountabilities:

This academic-track position includes research and teaching responsibilities. Clinical duties will be shared between our primary teaching site, Cizik Eye Clinic, and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, both located in the Texas Medical Center. The allocation of time between the two locations will be determined based on departmental needs.

Qualifications:

• Completed fellowship training or equivalent in medical retina.
• Board certified/eligible in ophthalmology.
• Eligible for a medical license in the state of Texas.
