Assistant Professor, Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) - Emergency Medicine, McGovern Medical School

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Position Key Accountabilities:

• Providing clinical service efforts at Memorial Hermann and Memorial Hermann Community Hospitals (Memorial City, Sugar Land, and Katy), helping to supervise medical care in the Emergency Center.

• Working a set number of clinical hours a month, and the remaining hours per month will be protected for research, administrative, and educational activities. Clinical reductions will be based on roles in the department and medical school

• Participating in departmental teaching activities, including medical student and house staff education, didactic conferences, seminars, lectures, and case presentations, and supporting the department’s professional activities enthusiastically. 

Qualifications:

• MD/DO.
• Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Licensed or eligible for full medical licensure in the State of Texas.
• Practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine in a manner that supports the needs of the patient.
