Job Description: Assistant Professor or Instructor of Organizational Leadership & Business
The School of Business seeks to hire a full-time Assistant Professor (preferred) or Instructor in Organizational Leadership and Business to begin teaching in Spring 2027 or Fall 2027. Responsibilities include teaching a wide array of organizational leadership and business courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels based on faculty expertise/training and program needs. Faculty are expected to teach in multiple formats, including distance learning, online, and face-to-face; perform department and university service; support student scholarship; and conduct research in their field. Other responsibilities include student advisement, assisting with program and department assessment and development, and supporting student organizations and events. Other duties as required.
SUPERVISION:
The position will report to the chair of the McMahon School of Business.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A PhD in Organizational Leadership or a related business field is needed to qualify for the Assistant Professor rank, and would enable the faculty member to teach in the MSOL program. A Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership or a related business field is needed to qualify at the Instructor rank. Applicants who are doctoral degree candidates may be considered for the Assistant Professor position, but if hired and the degree has not been earned by the start of the employment period, the initial appointment will be made at the rank (and salary) of Instructor and will only be converted upon documented completion of the degree, in accordance with the conditions specified in the offer letter.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Expertise in online teaching and Quality Matters would be preferred.
SALARY RANGE:
Commensurate with education and experience.
