We're looking for an enthusiastic and organized Assistant Manager to join our team at our Edwardsville location (120 E Vandalia St). As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving operational excellence and creating a positive work environment. - Lead and supervise shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to company standards
- Manage employee scheduling, training, and performance to build a motivated and efficient team
- Handle cash management, including register reconciliation, deposits, and financial accuracy
- Interact professionally and empathetically with customers to resolve concerns and ensure satisfaction
- Answer phones, take orders, and provide accurate information in a timely manner
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization, setting an example for team members
- Analyze operational metrics and identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization
- Delegate tasks effectively and provide constructive feedback to support team development
- Lift and move items up to 25 pounds regularly as part of daily operations
- Collaborate with store leadership to implement new initiatives and drive business goals
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills to address challenges decisively and transparently
Qualifications
**Required Skills & Competencies:**
- Strong math and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent money management and cash handling experience
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Proven employee management and leadership capabilities
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Time management and organizational skills
- Conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
- Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
