Assistant IVF Lab Tech, Part Time

Trans Ova Genetics is seeking an Assistant IVF Lab Tech to support our IVF laboratory in Madison, WI. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, works well as part of a team, and is available for early morning shifts. Responsibilities include laboratory procedures, recordkeeping, specimen transport, inventory support, and other tasks that help keep the lab operating efficiently.

Our ideal candidate is available to work 10-20 hours per week, with a strong preference for early morning availability between 4:30 AM and 9:00 AM Wednesday through Saturday. This individual is comfortable in a laboratory environment, willing to assist with both lab and administrative tasks, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Embryo stripping.
• Embryo evaluation, grading, and freezing.
• Fertilization and culture plate preparation.
• Oocyte searching and grading for maturation.
• Semen handling and preparation for IVF.
• Drive a company vehicle to transport laboratory specimens as needed.
• Perform data entry, recordkeeping, and other administrative tasks.
• Assist with laboratory quality control and cleanliness.
• Manage inventory and laboratory supplies.
• Follow established laboratory protocols and sterile techniques.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a sterile laboratory setting.
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of the cattle industry is preferred but not required.
