Assistant Coach Varsity Swim

Seasonal:

Durham Academy is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Varsity Swim Coach. The season runs from approximately early-November through mid-February

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists the instruction of our varsity swim team (grades 7-12 / approximately 40 student-athletes)

• Assists with supervising student-athletes

• Responsible for driving a mini-bus to all meets

• Regular communication and teamwork with the other swim coaches in the program as well as the AD

Candidates should expect a regular weekday commitment at practices that typically run from 4-530 pm along with one meet a week.  Since Durham Academy does not have a pool, all practices and meets are off-campus.

The ideal candidate will have the following personal characteristics:

• Provide safe, healthy environment for practice and play

• Able to work as part of a team

• Communicate clearly and effectively

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Maintain positive and professional working relationships with all members of the school community to include student-athletes, parents, teachers, fellow coaches and administration.
