AS733 - Full-Time Nanny - Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Overview

A loving family in Englewood Cliffs, NJ is seeking a fantastic nanny/mother's helper to assist in the care of their two children, ages 11 months and 3 years. The three-year-old is in school full-time, so the morning will primarily involve care of the baby, with care of the older child in the afternoon as well. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm, with some potential date nights or weekend hours if desired. This position involves working closely with a SAHM, so the nanny should feel comfortable with a collaborative, team environment. 

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving, and safety-focused care for both children throughout the day
• Follow and maintain age-appropriate routines for naps, feeding, diapering, hygiene, and daily schedules
• Plan and engage the children in creative, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities, including reading, music, sensory play, crafts, outdoor play, and imaginative play
• Encourage learning, independence, curiosity, and positive social development through meaningful daily interactions
• Plan and accompany the children to age-appropriate outings and activities, such as parks, libraries, story time, classes, and neighborhood walks
• Very basic snack and meal preparation
• Wash, fold, and organize the children's laundry
• Keep the children's bedrooms, play areas, nursery, and other shared spaces tidy and well organized throughout the day
• Maintain cleanliness of bottles, feeding supplies, toys, and other children's items
• Work collaboratively with a stay-at-home mother, maintaining open communication while being comfortable taking initiative and managing the children's day independently as needed 

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about caring for young children
• Experience caring for both infants and toddlers at the same time
• Creative, engaging, and enthusiastic about planning enriching activities
• Calm, dependable, and proactive with excellent judgment
• Highly organized and attentive to detail
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Reliable, punctual, and looking for a long-term position with one family

Requirements

• Excellent spoken English- the child is attending immersive school in a second language, so English must be spoken at home
• Very conscientious about hygiene- willing to change clothing when entering the home, hand washing, etc.
• Prior professional experience caring for infants and toddlers
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation to work (driving is not required as part of the role)
• Excellent references from previous families

Salary and Benefits

• $35-45/hr.+ DOE
