AS719 - Full-Time Career Nanny - Rye, NY

Overview

A busy and active family in Rye is seeking a full-time career nanny for their four children, ages 4, 8, 10, and 12. The schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday, 11:00 am or 12:00 pm- 9:00 pm. The children are busy and active, and the family is looking for a true teammate who is knowledgeable about childhood development, and is comfortable working alongside parents, a house manager, and an au pair. 

Responsibilities

• Creating a fun and engaging environment in the home that considers different developmental stages
• Driving the children to and from school, and to extracurriculars
• Proactively planning and scheduling activities, playdates, and classes
• Facilitating and supervising meal, hygiene, and bedtime routines
• Assisting with homework and helping the older children stay organized and on track with schoolwork 
• Meal preparation as needed (most cooking is done by mom and the house manager, but the nanny should be comfortable preparing basic meals)
• Child related laundry
• Maintaining organization within the children's belongings and spaces
• Willing to travel as needed both domestically and internationally, including portions of the summer to the Hamptons

Qualifications

• Loving, warm, and engaging with children
• Friendly, with a positive attitude
• Able to act as a team with parents and other caregivers, while also proactive and able to provide full charge care as needed
• Provide structure and boundaries in a patient and child-centered way
• Happy to work with a co-nanny, communicating as needed to provide continuity of care

Requirements

• US work authorization
• Experience with early school age through teens, with multiple children of varied ages
• Driver's license and clean driving record (the family will provide a car for work use)
• Comfortable working around small dogs
• Willing to travel for portions of the summer to the Hamptons (living-in)

Salary and Benefits

• $40-50/hr.+ DOE
