Position Overview

Geared for growth… USA Shade & Fabric Structures Inc., (a division of PlayPower) a world leader in the manufacturing and construction of outdoor steel and fabric shade structures is seeking an experienced Architectural Sales Specialist. We are an aggressive and challenging specialty contractor performing design/build projects in the rapidly advancing tensile structures field. We are dedicated to collaborating with our clients, making their design concepts a reality, and continuing to advance fabric architecture.

This position is responsible for generating sales of diverse shade products in California through relationship building and by demonstrating exemplary presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. The Architectural Sales Specialist develops new Landscape Architect and Architect accounts as well as maintains and cultivates existing clients. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop new clients within assigned territory using various methods including, but not limited to, cold calling, attending trade shows, face-to-face meetings, and direct marketing from their home office. 
• Potential clientele base will be focused on: government (school, cities, counties, military) developers, general contractors, architects, churches, private schools, universities, HOA’s, airports, etc. 
• Work with existing clients and contacts to develop new business and cultivate existing business relationships. 
• Collaborate with other departments i.e. project management and engineering to ensure a positive customer service experience and client satisfaction. 
• Track, measure, and analyze personal performance through the company’s contact management tool. 
• Prepare and present proposals to customers. 
• Perform various administrative tasks i.e. conceptual drawing requests, design drawing requests, and completing reports and paperwork as needed.
• Actively participate in ASLA and AIA sponsored activities relative to territory.

• Architectural knowledge, background, working with or in architectural offices

• General knowledge of architectural industry 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Architecture or related field is preferable and/or Business Administration, Marketing or related field with Landscape Architectural/ Architectural experience.
• Minimum three years sales experience.
• Working knowledge of marketing, construction sales and landscape architecture.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Must be able to work remotely while regularly traveling within Southern California. Occasionally travel out of state to attend trade shows and training. 

Compensation:

Base pay 95,000-100,000 plus incentive bonus
