Summary
The intern will assist experienced architects and engineers with forensic investigations, laboratory and field testing, and technical analysis. Responsibilities also include creating CAD drawings, computer modeling, and performing construction observation.
Job Description
Excellent opportunity with a nationally recognized forensic firm in our Grand Rapids office. We are looking for a motivated, committed, and enthusiastic candidate interested in working with experienced architects and engineers to solve challenging technical problems.
Responsibilities
- Forensic investigation and analysis
- Laboratory and field testing
- CAD drawings and presentations
- Computer modeling and analysis
- Construction observation
- Bachelor's degree (or near completion) in Architectural Studies or Architectural Engineering
- Intend to pursue master's degree in Architectural Studies or Architectural Engineering
- Excellent writing, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Ability to travel and perform field work including working at heights
- Interest in pursuing profession in forensic architecture and building science
- This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
