Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs application discovery, dependency analysis, and technical assessment supporting AMC application modernization and infrastructure transformation.
• Works with mission owners, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, cloud architects, and network engineers to document application architectures, interfaces, hosting environments, data flows, authentication methods, operational dependencies, and technical risks.
• Supports application rationalization activities using approved modernization methodologies to identify opportunities for rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, replacement, retirement, or retention while minimizing operational disruption.
• Assists development of application migration plans, modernization roadmaps, implementation sequencing, and technical documentation supporting secure migration to modern data center, cloud, and edge environments.
• Coordinates validation testing, stakeholder reviews, and operational acceptance activities throughout the modernization lifecycle.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of experience
• Must have an active Secret clearance
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise application discovery, inventory, assessment, and dependency analysis
• Experience conducting business and mission-process analysis and stakeholder requirements elicitation
• Strong knowledge of application architecture, interface, data-flow, database, API, and web-service analysis
• Ability to Identify and assess application owners and users, hosting environments, dependencies, technical debt, cybersecurity posture, and operational risk
• Experience evaluating applications for cloud-readiness, interoperability, resiliency, licensing, and modernization-readiness assessment
• Experience conducting application rationalization using Retain/Rehost/Replatform/Refactor/Replace/Retire or equivalent methods
• Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation, roadmap development, testing/validation support, and strong analytical writing
• Proficiency using Visio, Excel, CMDB/discovery outputs, and structured assessment artifacts

DESIRED SKILLS 

• Air Force application portfolio experience 
• Cloud One, Platform One, CNAP, or other DoD hosting environments 
• 6R/7R application rationalization and application portfolio management 
• DevSecOps, Kubernetes/container platforms, and API modernization concepts 
• Zero Trust, GTU, and Cross Domain Solution application-impact analysis 
• RMF/eMASS familiarity and automated application-discovery or dependency-mapping tools 

CERTIFICATIONS 

• Required: DoD 8140 IAT Level II (Security+ CE or equivalent) 
• Desired: ITIL Foundation, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $110,000.00 - $142,000.00.  The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
