Application Integration Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Application Integration Engineer based in United States.

This role focuses on developing, configuring, testing, and supporting software applications and integrations that enable critical back-office ERP and finance systems. You will work across technologies including Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and related platforms while leveraging approved AI-enabled development tools. The position combines hands-on software development with requirements analysis, technical documentation, testing, deployment, and production support. You will collaborate with experienced developers, IT support teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable technical solutions. The role offers exposure to multiple projects, business processes, cloud-based technologies, and financial applications. Success requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several workstreams in a structured environment

Accountabilities:

• Develop, test, modify, and support the deployment of software applications and integrations based on approved business requirements and technical specifications.
• Apply established integration patterns, coding standards, security requirements, architectural guidelines, and change-control procedures to assigned solutions.
• Use approved AI development tools to support coding, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and other software development activities.
• Develop working knowledge of back-office ERP and finance systems and understand the business processes supported by these applications.
• Review and clarify technical requirements with business partners, experienced developers, and other technical stakeholders.
• Prepare functional specifications, technical documentation, test plans, implementation materials, user instructions, and training documentation using established standards.
• Investigate and resolve moderately complex application and integration issues using established diagnostic and troubleshooting methods.
• Escalate novel, high-risk, or architecture-related issues to senior engineers or technical leadership when appropriate.
• Coordinate testing and implementation activities with business and IT teams while following established change-management procedures.
• Organize assigned work across multiple projects and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and potential issues to project and technical leads.
• Support production issue resolution and contribute to reliable deployment and ongoing application performance.
• Complete assigned performance objectives, special projects, and other job-related responsibilities as required.
• Perform responsibilities in accordance with applicable workplace requirements and with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 2–4+ years of professional software development experience working with SQL databases.
• Experience developing technical solutions across multiple technologies, including Microsoft .NET and SQL Server; experience with AWS Aurora databases is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI development tools and their application to software development, testing, documentation, or troubleshooting.
• Experience across the technical project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Experience supporting financial applications such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or General Ledger is preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud-based design principles and modern application development practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams across several internal teams while remaining responsive to changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Positive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and proactively communicate the status of critical workstreams, risks, and dependencies.
• Ability to work independently while following established architectures, development standards, security requirements, and change-control processes.
• Ability to maintain a dedicated, secure home working environment with reliable high-speed internet connectivity.

• Base compensation of $80,000–$95,000 per year, with specific offers determined by experience, education, skills, certifications, and business needs.
