We design, manufacture and distribute licensed and original product to retailers nationwide, and we sell direct to consumers on Amazon under our Pop Classics brand. We are a lean, fast-moving team where people own their work, decisions get made without a lot of layers, and good ideas matter more than titles.

Position Summary

The Amazon Marketplace Manager owns Open Road Brands' Amazon business for the Pop Classics brand. This person is accountable for the growth and profitability of the channel, revenue, margin, assortment, inventory position and advertising return — and for running the weekly operating rhythm that keeps it healthy.

This is a hands-on ownership role. You will set the strategy and you will also execute against it: planning FBA replenishment, launching new items, managing pricing and aged inventory, and maintaining advertising. Success looks like a channel that grows profitably and an operation that gets simpler and more automated over time rather than heavier.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Performance

Own Amazon revenue and contribution margin for the Pop Classics brand; build and manage an annual and quarterly plan for the channel.
Produce weekly sales and traffic reporting for leadership with analysis — what moved, why, and what action follows.
Monitor category trends, competitor activity and Amazon program changes, and recommend where the business should respond.

Inventory & Replenishment

Forecast demand and determine FBA replenishment based on warehouse inventory, days of supply and seasonal demand.
Build and issue weekly FBA shipments to the warehouse team, coordinating with Operations and Manufacturing on lead times and shipment processing.
Maintain shipment records and case pack data; ensure inventory is positioned to avoid both stock-outs and long-term storage exposure.
Reconcile closed shipments and pursue reimbursement for receiving discrepancies, recovering the dollars we are owed.

New Item Launch & Catalog

Determine which new items launch on Amazon and sequence them against licensor calendars, photography batches and seasonal demand.
Manage the full launch process: SKU and ASIN creation in NetSuite, pricing to margin targets, listing setup, copy and image verification, and parent/child relationships.
Set eCommerce pricing using fee, fulfillment and freight inputs to hit an established margin target; adjust as fee structures or competition change.
Partner with Merchandising and Creative on product copy, imagery, brand store placement and A+ content; proofread every product page before it goes live.
Maintain catalog hygiene — retire poor sellers, clean up zero-inventory listings, and keep records aligned across NetSuite, Rithum and Amazon.

Pricing & Inventory Health

Review inventory aging weekly and take action on slow movers through sale pricing, price discounts and Amazon outlet deals.
Manage Buy Box and competitive pricing decisions within approved margin guidelines.
Track long-term storage fees and reduce aged inventory exposure quarter over quarter.

Advertising

Own the Amazon advertising budget and its return; set campaign structure, targeting and bid strategy against an agreed efficiency target.
Maintain campaigns on a weekly cadence, including bid optimization, new item placement and creative accuracy on Sponsored Brand campaigns.
Report advertising performance as part of channel results, not as a separate exercise.

Account Health & Operations

Monitor Seller Central daily for required actions, stranded units, listing suppressions, account health notifications — and resolve them promptly.
Manage the Amazon customer message inbox and ensure timely, on-brand responses.
Serve as Open Road's internal expert on Amazon policy, fee changes and program opportunities.
Document and continuously simplify the weekly operating rhythm; identify work that should be automated, outsourced or delegated and make the case with numbers.

Qualifications

Required

Three or more years managing an Amazon 3P / Seller Central business, including hands-on FBA experience.
Demonstrated ownership of channel results, you can speak to a revenue or margin number you were responsible for and what you did to move it.
Working knowledge of Amazon advertising: campaign structure, targeting, bid management and managing to an efficiency target.
Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and confidence working with large data sets accurately.
Experience with an ERP system and the discipline to learn and follow multi-step data processes precisely.
Excellent attention to detail. This role runs on procedures where a skipped step costs real money.
Self-directed. You will not be handed a task list; you are expected to know what the channel needs and go do it.

Preferred

Experience in consumer products, home décor, gift or licensed goods.
NetSuite experience, including saved searches and saved imports.
Familiarity with Helium 10 or comparable marketplace analytics and advertising tools.
Experience with additional marketplaces (Walmart, Faire, Target Plus) or direct-to-consumer eCommerce.
Exposure to inventory forecasting or demand planning.

Success Measures

Amazon revenue growth against plan.
Contribution margin after Amazon fees, fulfillment and advertising.
Total advertising cost of sale against target.
In-stock rate on core items and stock-outs avoided on top sellers.
Percentage of inventory in the oldest aging buckets and long-term storage fees paid.
Days from photography batch received to item live and selling on Amazon.
Reimbursement dollars recovered against dollars claimable.
Weekly reporting and operating rhythm delivered accurately and on time.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position works on-site in a professional office environment and regularly uses standard office equipment including a computer, monitor, keyboard and telephone. The role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and to communicate clearly with team members, vendors and partners. The employee may occasionally move product samples or boxes weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional time may be spent in a warehouse or manufacturing environment where the employee may be exposed to moving equipment and varying temperatures.
