Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Aircraft Maintenance Technicians with assigned aircraft maintenance tasks on customer aircraft.

• Assist with routine and scheduled aircraft maintenance activities under the direction of qualified maintenance personnel.

• Assist with servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, engines, and components as assigned.

• Assist with troubleshooting aircraft systems and components under appropriate supervision.

• Assist with the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of aircraft sections and components in accordance with approved technical data.

• Learn and develop aircraft maintenance skills through hands-on training and on-the-job experience.

• Document assigned learning and training activities as required.

• Assist with ensuring maintenance work is properly documented in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Follow all applicable FAA regulations, FEAM policies and procedures, customer requirements, and safety standards.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English.

• Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.

• Must have good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Must have a current valid driver’s license.

• Must have a high degree of mechanical ability and attention to detail.

• Frequently be required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.

• Frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.

• Awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises.

• Ability to operate equipment and read technical information.

• Exposure to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an FAA-approved Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) or Aircraft Maintenance program.

• Currently pursuing an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.

• Ability to use various hand tools, calipers, and specialized tools for aircraft.

• Prefer the ability to read technical manuals and mechanical diagrams.
