Summary
The behavior technician will provide direct services to children, including implementing client programming and accurate data collection. They are expected to support individuals with behavioral needs while maintaining professional standards and participating in ongoing training.
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license or ID, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance (unless otherwise approved)
- Ability to pass required criminal background checks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends
- Ability to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within three months of hire if required for assigned caseload
Preferred Qualifications
- College students or degree-seeking candidates
- Experience working with children, especially individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Current RBT credential
- Experience supporting individuals with high-intensity behavioral needs
Training & Professional Development
IBT provides comprehensive training and ongoing support, including:
- Paid orientation and job-specific training
- Reduced-cost or complimentary CPR and Safety Assist certification
- Ongoing professional development opportunities
- Supervision for BACB certification (when applicable)
Employees are expected to successfully complete IBT's initial training program and demonstrate competency in client programming and data collection.

Job Type: Part-Time (with additional hours available); Full-Time opportunities may also be available.
Pay: $15–$21 per hour, depending on education, experience, qualifications, and assigned caseload, plus applicable shift differentials for higher-needs clients.

Behavioral assessments are available in Basehor, and our ABA and supportive home care services can be found in Ark City, Dodge City, Emporia, Lawrence, Manhattan, Olathe, Parsons, Pittsburg, Topeka, Wichita, and surrounding areas.
