Job Description
We are seeking a Part Time Site Director to lead our (Bowe) 6th to 8th grade JURASSIC After School Program. The Site Director is responsible for overseeing program operations for GCDC sites. The primary focus will be the supervision of program activities, staff support and development and parent engagement. The right candidate will have three years’ experience supervising in an early childhood, school age or camp program with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- This position is MONDAY THRU FRIDAY 2PM to 6PM daily - total of 20 hours weekly. This position operates every day the school is in session and during summer programming. $25/hr, non-exempt
Requirements:
- Experience: Three years supervision in early childhood, school age or camp program
- Education/Certification: bachelor’s degree in related field
- License: Current NJ Driver License, access to automobile and valid auto insurance
- Knowledge/Training: Childhood development, team management and parent relationship building. Familiar with age-appropriate curriculum, activities, and continuing quality improvement tools; ability to communicate effectively to/with multiple audiences.
- Physical/Health: Must be in good physical and mental health; able to lift 20lbs.
- Professional Development: Must complete 20 hours of relevant annual training.
- Work Hours/Environment: School facilities, outdoor play areas, shopping, driving a vehicle, 20 hours per week; available for occasional evening/weekend hours to meet agency goals
General Responsibilities:
- Manage programs that improve student learning, attendance, social emotional and physical development
- Develop and implement programs, services, and activities to ensure they meet office of licensing and quality standards
- Enforce agency policies and procedures
- Collect and report student data and information to meet grant reporting requirements.
- Secure materials and supplies that support program activities, and turn in accurate receipts in timely
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding new employees
- Provide direct supervision of staff, volunteers, and consultants.
- Provide staff development opportunities for staff
- Develop and maintain partnerships with parents, and community organizations
- Maintain daily contact with program and administrative staff to discuss issues and provide/receive information
- Conduct staff meetings and attend leadership meetings, including Child Care Success Academy
- Assist with Agency Strategic Planning
- Report concerns to Project Director or HR Director
