Advocate

Status: Part Time Hourly                    FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position: 

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Advocate to work with youth at the Camp Tillamook Youth Facility in Tillamook, Oregon.

The position requires a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week in a structured facility setting.

• We are looking for individuals with experience working with youth, preferably in juvenile justice, mentoring, behavioral support, education, or social services.
• Candidates must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
• The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.      

Qualifications/Requirements: 

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience working with At-Risk Youth and Youth involved in the juvenile justice system. 
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Experience in Mentoring, Behavioral Supports, Education, and/or Social Services is a plus. 
• Applicants should be comfortable using computer programs such as Microsoft Office. 
• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage
• Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
