Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans
• Manage medication regimens, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments as necessary
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical professionals, and behavioral health teams to provide holistic care
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for patients in an acute psychiatric setting
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and mental health management
• Maintain thorough documentation and comply with hospital policies and state regulations

Qualifications:

• Licensed Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in the state of New Jersey or eligible for licensure
• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with a psychiatric specialization
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and crisis management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Experience in inpatient and consultations.
