Adult Day Care Program Asst, Per Diem Days, Basking Ridge NJ, Atlantic Health

• Principal Accountabilities:

  Work with ADC team to ensure safety of clients, at all times. 

• Interact with clients in a professional and positive manner.
• Treat clients with respect, kindness, patience; helping to maintain clients' dignity.
• Assist clients who are unsteady with walking.
• Able lift 5 to 10 pounds.
• Provide hands-on assistance for clients, including personal care as needed.
• Participate in leading activities/program at request of Lead Activities Assistant.
• Participate in organization and coordination of activities/projects at request of Lead Activities Assistant.
• Assist during lunchtime to ensure calm, orderly flow of dining experience for clients.
• Promote ADC in the community whenever possible.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

   Preferred:
   1. 1 year of food service experience in a health care facility.
   2. Experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or Adult Day Care experience or relevant area.

   3. CNA or HHA Certification

Hospice 

At Atlantic Visiting Nurse, we believe that those living with advanced illnesses should spend their final days in comfort and peace. Our compassionate, specialized care is designed to minimize patient suffering and to support families and loved ones in their roles as caregivers. As one of the first hospices in New Jersey and the United States, we have more than 40 years’ experience serving private homes, nursing facilities and assisted living facilities in Essex, Morris, Somerset, and Union counties. When patients and their primary care physicians agree that curative treatment is no longer appropriate or desired, a referral to Atlantic Hospice may be appropriate.
