We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our senior living community. This position will assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, vendor coordination, reconciliations, and month-end close.

The ideal candidate has senior living accounting experience, Yardi experience, and a strong commitment to accuracy and timely follow-through.

Position 

 The Accounting Assistant provides day-to-day accounting support with a focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, vendor documentation, and month-end close. This position helps maintain accurate financial records and ensures accounting transactions and required documentation are completed accurately and on time. 

What You'll Do 

Responsibilities

• Review and process invoices and check requests for proper documentation, coding, and approvals.
• Enter invoices, payments, and Accounts Receivable transactions into Yardi.
• Prepare and reconcile deposits and payments.
• Assist with bank and check reconciliations and monthly journal entries.
• Support month-end close and account analysis.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
• Collect W-9s, contracts, and other required vendor documentation.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with resolving discrepancies.
• Follow up on Long-Term Care payments and required documentation.
• Provide accounting support to department leaders and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Yardi accounting experience.
• Senior living accounting experience required.
• Working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
