Job Description
Kent Place School is seeking dedicated part-time Instrumental Music Specialists committed to fostering a love of performance in young students within our thriving instrumental music program. We are currently looking for specialists in the following areas:
- Upper String Specialist (Violin/Viola)
- String Specialist (Cello/Bass)
- Woodwind Specialist
- Brass Specialist
Compensation: $100/instructional hour
Responsibilities
The specialists will work across divisions (grades 3 - 12) to support the technical and musical growth of our students. Primary duties include:
- Leading beginning instructional classes for Grades 3–5.
- Conducting Middle and Upper School sectional rehearsals.
- Coaching chamber music ensembles.
- Providing high-quality private lessons.
- Participating in and supporting student performances throughout the school year.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of three years of teaching experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related academic field or in Music Education/Teaching is preferred.
