Adjunct Lecturer

The Strategy, Leadership, Analytics Program in the School of Liberal Arts at Tulane University seeks qualified individuals to join its part-time Adjunct Lecturer pool and welcomes applications from professionals, educators, scholars, and practitioners with expertise relevant to the program’s interdisciplinary curriculum.

SLAM prepares students to navigate complex academic, professional, and societal challenges through interdisciplinary study and applied learning in strategy, leadership, and analytics. Courses emphasize the connection between liberal arts education and real-world application, helping students develop transferable skills in strategic thinking, leadership, data-informed decision-making, communication, collaboration, and career development.

Qualified applicants may be contacted when a teaching opportunity consistent with their qualifications and areas of expertise becomes available. Courses may be offered in in-person, hybrid, or online formats. Adjunct Lecturers are expected to meet Tulane University and School of Liberal Arts instructional requirements, use required institutional and instructional platforms, and participate in applicable faculty orientation or training.

Openings for Adjunct Lecturers vary depending on SLAM’s curricular and instructional needs and the subject-matter expertise of individual candidates.  The Program may need Adjunct Lecturers to teach undergraduate courses in areas that include:

• Data literacy, analytics, and data-informed decision-making

• Marketing and communications
• Civic and community engagement

Qualifications

A terminal degree in a relevant field is preferred; a master’s degree is acceptable. SLAM also values significant professional and applied experience, and candidates should demonstrate academic, professional, or industry expertise commensurate with the subject matter and level of the course being taught.
