Adjunct Instructor, Pharmacy Technology, Clarksville

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the part-time position of Adjunct Instructor for the Early Technical College Pharmacy Technology class at the Clarksville Campus.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary credential from an accredited institution preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Current nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician certification or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months.
• Prior teaching or evidence of ability to teach students a plus.

• Must possess the organization and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher and to interact with high school students.
• Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude and stable personality.
• Must be willing to remain current in the field of instruction.
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, the general public and business/industry representatives.
• Computer skills and ability to adapt quickly to new technology required.
• Must be willing and able to perform administrative duties in a timely manner.

GENERAL DUTIES:  The Adjunct Instructor in the Early Technical College Pharmacy Technology class is responsible for providing in-person theory and hands-on skills instruction to dual-enrolled high school students. The Adjunct Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; and other duties as assigned. This position is part-time and reports to the Director of Healthcare Programs. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. between August and May each year. Scheduled class hours are 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is not a remote work position. Anticipated start date is January 4, 2027.

SALARY:  $37.00 per hour. Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
