Activities assistant position details:
We are hiring for a Regular Part Time (22 hours/week) position. The scheduled hours will be some weekdays 9am - 3pm, with availability to work Saturday & Sunday every other weekend 9am - 3pm. The candidate will be working on our Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care floors.
Activities assistant job duties include:
Participates in community planning related to the interests of the residents and their needs.
Coordinates transportation for trips/outings when necessary.
Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the community.
Participates in resident/group council meetings when/if requested and provides support service to such councils.
Supervises programs as necessary.
Encourages residents to participate in program.

Qualifications: Activities assistant qualifications:
Experience in organizing, planning, promoting and directing cultural arts activities is preferred.
Experience working with a geriatric population is preferred.
Must be high energy, with a positive attitude and a desire to bring joy to our residents.
