Activities Assistant

Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: Liberty Ridge - Lynchburg, VA, Salary Range: $14.00 - $15.00Hourly,  

Assists in the completion of activities assessment, progress notes and updates in a timely manner as directed by Director
Assists in planning, conducting, and evaluating scheduled activities, special events, and projects to meet the individual interests, abilities, and service plans of residents
Communicates the daily schedule of activities programming to residents and support staff
Documents resident participation and response to activity programs 
Provides input and feedback to Activities Director/Life Enrichment Director regarding resident progress and program effectiveness
Arranges the environment and set up of equipment. Ensures equipment is returned to proper place
Assists in transporting residents to and from activities in a safe manner consistent with resident mobility needs
Performs other duties as assigned by the Activity Director/Administrator/Designee
Maintains a neat & professional appearance; closed-toe shoes are required

Must have basic computer skills
Must be able to perform duties in accordance with the guidelines mandated by Social Services as the licensing agent of this facility
Be of acceptable physical and mental health to carry out assigned duties 
Must possess mature judgment skills and be able to respond to emergency situations
Provides support in any area that may arise that is above and beyond the normal expectations for this position.
Attendance is required during inclement weather
Follows infection control policies & procedures
Follows all policies & procedures of Runk and Pratt
Maintains appropriate & respectful conduct within the workplace

Qualifications:  

Graduation from high school or GED
Complete annual in-service training as required
State Police background check that is free from barrier offenses
A current Tuberculosis screening on or within 7 days prior to the first day of employment and free from Tuberculosis
The ability to meet physical requirements for position
The ability to pass a drug test
