A. High School Graduate or GED equivalent or enrolled in high school if below 18 years of age,

2. Training and Experience:
   1. Experience in a recreation setting preferred.
   2. On the job training accepted.
3. Personal Qualifications:
   1. Must be able to exercise judgement where procedures cannot be standardized.
   2. Must exhibit a spirit of cooperation.
   3. Must have a pleasant personality.
   4. Able and willing to work with a variety of people.
   5. Must be able to use common sense and be a fair judge of character.
   6. Be creative and have a sense of imagination.
   7. Empathetic approach to the elderly.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Posting monthly activity calendars in resident's rooms.
2. Supply a weekly movie from library.
3. Assisting with residents to and from activities.
4. Keep attendance of activity daily, and then turn into Activity Director.
5. Leading of group activities as planned and scheduled.
6. Initiating and motivating 1-1 activities with residents not attending group activities.
7. Assisting with residents' community outings as scheduled.
8. Assisting with special events, planning, leading and etc.
9. Reports to Activity Director on residents' responses and/or progress.
10. Reports needs of supplies to Activity Director.
11. May be responsible for general housekeeping duties in activity area.
12. Attend in service training as scheduled.
13. Communicates with nursing for purpose of assisting in transporting residents to activities.
14. Abides by policies of facility.
15. Performs other related duties as directed by Activity Director.
