Accounts Payable Clerk

Safavieh is an upscale global home furnishing, rugs & accessories company looking for a proactive, personable, highly motivated and organized Accounts Payable Clerk.

Safavieh is looking for Entry Level Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in our Port Washington office. This person will manage all account payables procedures to ensure Safavieh’s overall financial health.

*This is a temporary position that will last 6 months. Full-time and Part-time positions may become available after 6 months.*

Responsibilities:

• process payable invoices
• Data Entry
• Execute Bank Account Reconciliation
• Filin
• Print Checks and Obtain signature as needed
• Assist senior clerk and manager as needed.
• Work with CPA to prepare 1099’s
• Prepare monthly, Quarterly and yearly reports for CPA.

Qualifications: 

• Entry Level - Will train the right candidate
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Strong math skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Ability to handle information confidentially 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
• Proven experience meeting regular deadlines
• Possess good organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work under deadlines

Compensation:

• $25.00/hour
• Temporary 6-month position 
• Benefits –medical, vision, dental, 401k (with 2% match)
• Paid Holidays, Vacation Days and Sick Time
• Company shuttle service available to transport commuters to/from the Port Washington LIRR station
