Position Summary

Jeff Wyler Automotive Family is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and motivated Accounting Support Specialist to join our Corporate Accounting team in Milford, Ohio. This position plays a vital role in supporting accounting operations across multiple dealership locations by ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Assist with daily cash balancing, deposits, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Review financial records for accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Assist dealership personnel with accounting questions and issue resolution.
Process vendor payments and maintain vendor records.
Prepare account reconciliations and audit schedules.
Maintain organized electronic and paper financial records.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
Support internal and external audits as needed.
Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with accounting leadership to improve efficiency and maintain best practices.

QualificationsQualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience preferred.
Automotive accounting experience is a plus but not required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar) is a plus.
